Problem

The society needed one place to present itself, publish content and take applications, fast on any phone and managed by the society itself.

What was built

A self-hosted front end with Tailwind CSS v4, Motion, Lenis and OGL powering a custom HUD-style visual system.

In progress

The backend is being built and is not yet deployed: a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database layer, separate admin and moderator dashboards for content and applications, Cloudflare Turnstile on public forms, and Brevo for transactional and notification emails.

Results

  • Front end live at a testing URL ahead of public launch
  • Perfect 100 in Lighthouse Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices and SEO
  • Graceful fallbacks when JavaScript or motion is disabled

Lessons

  • A heavy motion system and a 100 Lighthouse score can coexist when fallbacks come first
